We know that choosing a school for your child is an extremely difficult and important decision. We understand the need to get this right since being happy at school will ensure your son or daughter can achieve his or her best. Happy children succeed and the right school lays the foundation of a child’s future. It is important that you have all the information you need at this point to start this journey.
Hillcrest College operates a rolling admissions system. What do we look for in a prospective student? We look for many things beyond academic credentials. We seek students with enthusiasm, integrity, commitment and a concern for others as well as for the environment – in essence, those who will contribute positively to our community.
The main entry points into Hillcrest College are at Form 1 and Lower Sixth. Whilst our main entry point is at the beginning of each year, we are able to consider entries into the schools at other times during the course of the year if places are available.
Many pupils from our junior school make the transition to the College, alongside the pupils joining us from other schools. All new pupils are welcomed and are quickly made to feel part of the Hillcrest Schools family.

Admission to Form 1
An Entrance Assessment Day with papers assessing English and Mathematics is held at Hillcrest College on the first Saturday of July for pupils in Grade 7 (Year 8) for pre-registered pupils only. An Orientation Day is held before the beginning of first term of Form 1 for all successful parents and pupils.
Forms 1 (Second Term onwards), 2 and 3
