New Term

Tuesday, 6 September, 2016

As we return to what is traditionally the most important term for those students writing Cambridge examinations, we are all hoping that the weather is kind, no heat wave compared to last year. With coursework to be completed and preparation for external exams gathering pace, IGCSE and AS/A Level students in particular should be organising their time carefully and making the most of all the support that is on offer.

This having been said, there are always other things to look forward to and our range of extended curricular activities offer plenty of opportunities for all students. There is a packed programme of academic, sport and cultural activities on offer. We have lined up parent tutor meetings which are meant to build lasting relationships between the parents and the tutors. We also have an academic luncheon, sports and cultural dinners to honour our outstanding students in academics, sport and culture. We are also looking forward to the annual Hillcrest Fireworks evening in October as well as the Community Carols Night in November. In between, we will have our annual Speech Night, lots of cricket, swimming galas, Basketball and tennis.

These events really showcase our students, our staff and our school and are part of the reason why we are all so proud of this school. We encourage our parents in Mutare and Harare to make an effort to come out and render support in any of the fixtures and events.
