Head's New Year Message

Monday, 18 January, 2016
I am hoping that 2016 will be a year of Excellence at Hillcrest College.
My vision is to see that everyone is fully integrated into our school system and achieving their best in and out of the classroom. Our staff and seniors are well motivated after noting the excellent A level results from the U6 of 2015. I know that both the Staff and Pupils of Hillcrest College are very excited about the prospects of the New Year and I would like to encourage them to achieve even better results at the end of this year.

I encourage our pupils to be highly motivated in the classroom and also achieve better results on the sports field. In the cultural world I am hoping that Manicaland Schools will join us in a year of music and drama to help promote the talents within our schools and for our Community to enjoy the festivities produced by our schools working together.

There is a new feeling and a kindred spirit in our school. It feels like we have turned a new page and that all is going to be well for Hillcrest College this year. Our Prefects have set themselves a high standards and set the tone of hard work and diligence as the way forward for 2016. Our new pupils in Form 1 and L6 have settled well and are already adding value to our school with their new talents and desire to do well.

To our Parents and the Mutare Community I would like to wish you all a happy and successful New Year. I hope you will join us with all our annual events namely the National Athletics and Kidzcan walk in March, our Winter Fair in June and finally our Fireworks in November with Community Carols in early December.

Wishing you all God’s richest blessings and every success for 2016.
