Academics

Overview:

Hillcrest College prides itself by providing an academic environment that is very active and hands-on to stimulate and challenge the students as individuals. In keeping with our Mission Statement, we recognise that every pupil has different talents and we wish to provide opportunities to develop them whatever they may be.

It is the aim of the school to enable every boy and girl to develop in academics. Our curriculum is aimed at developing critical and creative thinking, as well as self-discipline. We encourage our pupils to find their own strengths and preferred methods of learning within a structured and supportive framework.

The school’s curriculum is delivered in a learning environment that is both innovative and engaging. Within the classroom, science or ICT laboratories we work hard to ensure that each child’s academic needs are met and potential is realised. Stimulating class discussions, projects and off-site field trips are just some of the ways that students are challenged.
